Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to help shape and deliver cloud architectures for U.S. War Department customers, leveraging AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, EC2, and CloudFront.

You will own the technical engagement and success of specific projects, define architectures, respond to RFPs, develop deep AWS expertise, and serve as a security SME for customer applications while collaborating with a broad AWS solution architect community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know‑how around applications and services on the AWS platform.
• Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
• Lead efforts to capture and share best‑practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
• Collaborate with the brightest technical minds across enterprise architecture.
