Job summary
Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector with welding and coating expertise for federal projects in Russellville, AL.
The role emphasizes inspecting workmanship, materials, and installation to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and methods. The candidate will perform welding inspections on steel fabrication, coating inspection and testing, bolting inspection, and review of contractor QA and RMS processes.
Qualifications
- Five+ years of construction welding inspection experience.
- AWS CWI certification in conformance with QC1.
- NACE SSPC coating inspection certification or higher with at least two years in coatings inspection.
- ASNT nondestructive testing qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Observe, inspect, and report on construction projects at federal facilities for compliance with plans and specs.
- Perform welding inspections related to steel fabrication.
- Conduct coating inspections and testing of coating systems and application methods.
- Perform structural bolting inspection and testing of bolting methods.
- Review and recommend changes to government plans and specifications as needed.
- Monitor contractor’s QA plans and RMS usage.
- Review change orders, RFIs, submittals, and safety plans for compliance.
