Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Construction Inspector- Welding/Coating to oversee federal construction projects at a Russellville, AL site.

You will inspect workmanship, materials, and methods, perform welding and coating inspections, review QA plans, and monitor the contractor’s quality system. The role requires AWS CWI, NDT qualifications, coating inspector certifications (NACE/ SSPC), and familiarity with RMS.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification and five years of steel fabrication inspection experience.
• ASNT NDT qualification or equivalent required.
• Coatings inspection certification (NACE/SSPC) required.
• Experience with three-phase QC/Inspection process; EM 385-1-1 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report on construction projects at federal facilities for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Perform welding inspections relating to steel fabrication.
• Inspect coating systems and testing methods.
• Review QA plans and administer change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
• Monitor contractor’s quality system and schedule.
• Provide surveillance at sites and assist in problem resolution.
