Qualifications

• AWS welding inspector certification per AWS QC1.
• Minimum five years inspecting steel fabrication and coatings.
• ASNT NDT qualification or higher.
• NACE/SSPC coating inspection training and two years in coatings.

Responsibilities

• Observe, inspect, and report on construction projects at federal facilities for compliance with plans and specs.
• Perform welding inspections related to steel fabrication.
• Conduct coating inspections and testing of coating systems and applications.
• Inspect structural bolting methods and testing of installations.
• Review change orders, RFIs, submittals, and monitor schedules.
• Ensure QA and safety plans are followed on-site.
• Utilize RMS for project management and reporting.
