Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Construction Inspector specializing in welding and coating to support federal facility projects in Alabama. You will inspect welds, coatings, and bolting, review contractor plans, and ensure compliance with QC processes and safety requirements.

Requirements include AWS-CWI, ASNT for NDT, and coating inspector certifications (NACE SSPC). Experience with RMS and EM 385-1-1 familiarity is a plus. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction welding inspections.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWIs) per AWS QC1.
• ASNT qualification for NDT inspections.
• Coating inspections: NACE I+ or SSPC Level 1+ with training.
• AASHTO G4.2 certified bolting inspections preferred.
• Experience with RMS and three-phase QC/inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Observe, inspect, and report on construction projects for workmanship, materials, and methods at federal facilities.
• Perform welding inspections related to steel fabrication.
• Conduct coating inspections and test coating systems and applications.
• Perform structural bolting inspections and test bolting methods and installation.
• Review plans and provide recommendations to government personnel.
• Monitor contractor quality systems and administer inspection processes.
• Provide site surveillance and assist with problem resolution.
• Review changes, RFIs, submittals, and project schedules.
