Alternatives, Inc. in Jackson, NJ is seeking a part-time awake overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver.

You will support adults with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks and transportation to appointments, while upholding dignity and respect. We offer paid trainings, mileage reimbursement, staff appreciation events, and eligibility for federal student loan forgiveness.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening.
• Ability to pass and maintain trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training.
• Basic computer skills.

Mansioni

• Help adults with developmental disabilities with activities of daily living, medications, meals, personal hygiene, and transportation to appointments.
• Implement individualized behavioral plans and teach new skills.
• Encourage community outings and recreational activities based on client interests.
• Report concerns and keep documentation accurate and up-to-date.
