Alternatives, Inc. in Jackson, NJ is seeking a part-time Awake Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to assist adults with developmental disabilities in our residential group home.

This role focuses on ensuring comfort, safety, and independence for clients while implementing daily living activities and behavioral plans. You will work overnights and weekends, with paid trainings, mileage reimbursement, and benefits; prior experience with IDD is welcomed, but not required, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen required.
• TB screening required.
• CPR/First Aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support trainings must be maintained.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including medication administration and personal care.
• Prepare meals and assist with transportation to medical appointments.
• Implement individual behavioral plans and teach new skills.
• Encourage participation in community outings and recreational activities.
• Document health and safety concerns and maintain accurate records.
