Alternatives, Inc. in Jackson, NJ is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, cooking meals, and transporting clients to medical appointments.

You will implement individual behavioral plans, teach new skills, and encourage community outings. Paid trainings, mileage reimbursement, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening.
• Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Help adults with developmental disabilities live as independently as possible.
• Assist with activities of daily living: medication, meals, personal hygiene, transport to appointments.
