Resolution Life is seeking an AVP, Technical Accounting to lead technical accounting research and to develop and maintain accounting policy documentation across US GAAP, NAIC Statutory, and Bermuda regulatory frameworks.

The role partners with Financial Reporting, Actuarial, FP&A, and Business Development to ensure positions are well-supported and consistently applied. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of experience and a CPA or equivalent designation.

Qualifikationen

• 4–6 years of experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, auditing, or related field.
• Big 4 public accounting experience.
• Life insurance or reinsurance industry experience, preferred.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent).

Aufgaben

• Lead technical accounting research across US GAAP, NAIC Statutory, Bermuda regulatory, and other frameworks.
• Prepare and maintain accounting policy papers, memos, and white papers to support conclusions.
• Monitor new accounting standards and advise leadership on impact to financial statements and policies.
• Develop and maintain the accounting policy library ensuring currency and consistency.
• Serve as SME to cross-functional partners on accounting treatment for new products and transactions.
• Support documentation of complex transactions and coordinate with external auditors.
