Job summary

Resolution Life US is seeking an AVP, Technical Accounting to lead and execute technical accounting research across US GAAP, NAIC Statutory, and Bermuda regulatory frameworks. You will develop accounting policy papers, monitor new standards, and support cross-functional partners including Financial Reporting, Actuarial, and FP&A.

You will also mentor junior staff, contribute to board reporting, and coordinate with external auditors on complex policy matters.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, auditing, or related
• Big 4 public accounting experience
• Familiarity with US GAAP, NAIC SSAP, and Bermuda regulatory reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research across US GAAP, NAIC Statutory, and Bermuda frameworks.
• Prepare and maintain accounting policy position papers, memos, and white papers.
• Monitor and communicate impact of new standards on financial statements and policies.
• Develop and maintain the accounting policy library and ensure consistency.
• Advise on accounting treatment for complex transactions and new products.
• Collaborate with external auditors and provide supporting documentation.
