Job summary

Resolution Life US is seeking an AVP, Technical Accounting to lead research across US GAAP, NAIC Statutory, Bermuda regulatory, and other frameworks. You will partner with Financial Reporting, Actuarial, FP&A, and Business Development to ensure well-supported accounting positions.

The role requires translating complex guidance into actionable conclusions for senior leadership, developing and maintaining policy documentation, and mentoring junior staff in research methodologies and policy

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, auditing, or related discipline.
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• Life insurance or reinsurance industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research across US GAAP, NAIC Statutory, Bermuda regulatory, and other frameworks.
• Prepare high-quality accounting policy memos, white papers, and position papers.
• Monitor and communicate impact of new accounting standards on financial statements and policies.
• Develop and maintain the accounting policy library ensuring currency and consistency.
• Advise on accounting treatment for new products, transactions, and business initiatives.
