Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA or equivalent accounting certification.
• Minimum 7+ years accounting experience, with 3+ years in investment accounting in insurance/reinsurance.
• Experience with GAAP/STAT reporting and US regulatory frameworks preferred.
• Experience leading a team of investment accounting professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding of new investment portfolios and build reporting for GAAP, US STAT and Bermuda frameworks.
• Lead quarterly and annual footnotes, MD&A and statutory investment exhibits.
• Perform investment yield analysis and establish performance metrics.
• Support external audits and audit work papers.
• Develop automated investment reporting and optimize internal controls.
• Collaborate with front-office investment teams on reporting for new transactions.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing investment accounting team.
