Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Construction & Development is seeking an Assistant Vice President Program Executive to lead railroad communication and signal projects from planning through handover. The role is based at 420 Lexington Ave, New York, NY and requires oversight of safety, quality, risk, and budget.

Telework is allowed one day per week; overnight and weekend work may be required. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 14+ years in construction program

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or Project Management, Transportation, or related field.
Minimum fourteen (14) years of related experience.
Minimum ten (10) years in a construction program management or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

Manage and mentor staff to deliver complex communications and signal capital projects.
Identify issues and risks and ensure timely resolution and mitigation.
Coordinate program activities with leadership, staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all activities.
Review invoices and manage document control and reporting.
Lead staff selection, training, development, and performance management.
