Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Senior Vice President, Program Executive in New York to lead the Delivery Office for Construction & Development. This executive oversees all program phases from planning to handover, ensuring safety, quality, risk and budget adherence while coordinating with senior leadership and external partners.

The role requires a 20+ year track record, 12+ years in management or PM leadership, and credentials such as PMP/ CCM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or PM, Business Administration, Transportation, or related field.
• Minimum of twenty (20) years of related experience.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years in a management or supervisory role and/or Program/Project manager role.

Responsibilities

• Identify issues and risks and ensure timely resolution and mitigation.
• Recommend solutions to executive management for critical issues.
• Manage program activities to minimize impact on agency operations and the public.
• Coordinate activities with executives, staff, contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• Ensure activities follow requirements; adhere to standards, codes, regulations, and policies.
• Ensure safety and quality are integral to program operations.
• Manage and monitor progress against agency and program goals.
• Review and approve invoices and charges; ensure expenditures are charged appropriately.
• Manage staff selection, coaching, training, development, evaluation and discipline/termination as needed.
• Create a professional environment that enables employees to develop and contribute.
