Job summary

City of Hope seeks an Associate Vice President, Regional Philanthropy to manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects in the Orange County market. You will develop sophisticated fundraising strategies and lead high-performing teams to secure transformational philanthropic investments.

You will collaborate with philanthropy leadership, faculty, and donors to drive revenue growth, build executive-level proposals, and leverage data analytics to optimize prospect strategies and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience leading development functions with emphasis on major and principal gifts.
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Proven success securing major philanthropic investments and leading complex donor engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of high-capacity donors capable of major gifts.
• Develop and execute cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and relationship strategies.
• Lead multi-year fundraising initiatives aligning donor interests with institutional priorities.
• Build relationships with donors, volunteers, faculty, executives, and community leaders.
• Supervise and mentor frontline fundraising professionals and staff.
• Partner across City of Hope to support enterprise fundraising goals.
