Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd in Chicago, IL is seeking an AVP of Operations to lead multiple offices, drive service quality, and ensure adherence to company standards across locations.

The role requires a 10+ year claims management background with at least 4 years of supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and proven analytical and budgeting acumen in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; CPCU, ARM, AIM, and/or AIC certifications preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of claims management experience required, including four (4) years supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical claims knowledge and ability to lead teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong leadership and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations management for multiple locations and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Establish policy, procedures, and business plans to achieve goals and ensure client service requirements.
  • Monitor performance reports and coordinate sales and client service efforts.
  • Administer staffing policies, develop personnel, and manage budget and P&L for assigned offices.
  • Travel as required and support quality programs.

Has direct and/or indirect responsibility for 100-299 colleagues.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES*** Responsible for overall operations management for all locations/offices within an area.* Establishes policy and procedures to assure compliance to best practices, claims management services standards, state regulations, and client service requirements.* Establishes business plan with goals and objectives for the assigned area and locations/offices.* Monitors management reports relating to the area/office performance.* Assists with the coordination of sales and client service efforts.**ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES*** Performs other duties as assigned,* Supports the organization's quality program(s).* Travels as required.**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES*** Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.* Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance reviews.* Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.**QUALIFICATIONS****Education & Licensing** Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. CPCU, ARM, AIM, and/or AIC certifications preferred.
