Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an AVP of Operations to lead the technical and operational functions for assigned offices, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to standards. The role covers staffing, training, budget and P&L for the office, with supervision of 100–299 colleagues.

The position requires a senior background in claims management, strong leadership, and strategic planning. Located across multiple centers with hybrid onsite work arrangements, candidates should reside near one of the

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ten years claims management experience.
  • Four years supervisory experience required.
  • CPCU, ARM, AIM, or AIC certifications preferred.
  • Licenses as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations management for multiple locations/offices within an area.
  • Establish policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and client service standards.
  • Set business plans with goals and objectives for the assigned area.
  • Monitor management reports for area/office performance.
  • Coordinate sales and client service efforts across locations.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To be responsible for the technical and operational functions for assigned office(s) including compliance with company standards and industry best practices; to ensure consistent delivery of quality services including direct operational responsibility of an office in the location where the manager resides; to handle the staffing and training needs, as well as staff development, career and succession planning; and to be responsible for budget preparation and profit and loss management for assigned office(s). Has direct and/or indirect responsibility for 100-299 colleagues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall operations management for all locations/offices within an area.
  • Establishes policy and procedures to assure compliance to best practices, claims management services standards, state regulations, and client service requirements.
  • Establishes business plan with goals and objectives for the assigned area and locations/offices.
  • Monitors management reports relating to the area/office performance.
  • Assists with the coordination of sales and client service efforts.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs other duties as assigned,
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
  • Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance reviews.
  • Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
Qualifications
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. CPCU, ARM, AIM, and/or AIC certifications preferred. Licenses as required.

Experience
Ten (10) years claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include four (4) years supervisory experience.

For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD Annual. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, flexible spending or health savings account, and other additional voluntary benefits.
