Job summary
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks an experienced servant leader as Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Platforms Engineering. The AVP will guide directors overseeing the engineering, modernization, and support of enterprise applications across SIS, ERP, EDM, and related services.
Reporting to the VP, Platform Engineering, this role emphasizes secure, scalable solutions and collaboration with architecture, data, cybersecurity, QA, and business stakeholders to drive UMGC
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/IS/Software Engineering/Business or related tech field; 10+ years in app development/engineering.
- 7+ years leading software delivery teams; hands-on in ERP, cloud, and integrations.
- Experience with ERP (HCM, Finance, SIS) and enterprise applications modernization.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute enterprise platforms strategy and modernization.
- Oversee engineering, integration, and service delivery of enterprise apps.
- Provide governance, testing, release readiness, and incident management.
- Lead workforce development and stakeholder collaboration across IT and business units.
- Manage vendor relationships and technology enablement to meet UMGC objectives.
