University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is hiring an Assistant Vice President, Digital Student Experience (AVP) in Adelphi, MD. This senior role leads the strategy for learner engagement, satisfaction, and retention across all digital touchpoints, collaborating with IT and functional partners to deliver measurable improvements.

The AVP will be the primary liaison to UMGC IT, drive agile, data-informed initiatives, and mentor cross-functional teams to create a student-centric online ecosystem

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least ten years of relevant experience.
• Minimum three years in a supervisory role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital student experience initiatives across platforms and services.
• Serve as the liaison between LENS and the UMGC IT department.
• Translate student pain points into actionable roadmaps to improve satisfaction, success, and retention.
• Implement agile methodologies and test-and-learn portfolio management.
• Oversee technology and platform initiatives within LENS and align with IT roadmaps.
