Job summary
Arch Capital Group in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Arch Construction to lead technical underwriting and account management of Middle Market Construction Casualty programs in the central territory. This role focuses on evaluating risks, pricing quotations, and coordinating with Risk Engineering and Claims to support insureds and producers.
You should have ten years of casualty underwriting (construction preferred), a bachelor’s degree, and CPCU or CRIS a plus.
Qualifications
- Ten years of Casualty underwriting experience, construction underwriting preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training required.
- CPCU or CRIS designation a plus.
Responsibilities
- Solicits and reviews new and renewal account information to evaluate risk.
- Underwrites, prices and prepares Casualty quote proposals.
- Coordinates with Risk Engineering and Claims to assess risk.
- Prepares quotations and presents to producers or insured.
- Manages pre-renewal reviews, renewals, and related activities.
- Develops strategic plans to position Arch at agency and insured levels.
