Arch Insurance Group Inc. seeks an Assistant Vice President in Construction underwriting to lead technical underwriting and account management for Middle Market Construction Casualty programs in the central territory.

The role requires experience with Workers Compensation, GL, Auto, and Excess forms, and collaboration with risk engineering and claims teams. The position emphasizes relationship building with brokers and insureds, managing renewals, and strategic market positioning.

Qualifications

• Ten years of Casualty underwriting experience with Construction underwriting experience preferred.
• Established broker relationships within the region would be ideal.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training required.
• CPCU or CRIS designation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solicits and reviews new and renewal account information to evaluate a risk.
• Identifies exposures and hazards related to requested coverage and risk characteristics.
• Underwrites, prices and prepares Casualty quotes using product sets and regulatory filings.
• Prepares final quotation/proposal and presents to producer or insured.
• Manages post-bind activities including policy production, audits and adjustments, and TPA coordination.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key agency personnel to generate submissions.
• Fosters relationships with insureds to achieve production and profit goals.
• Develops a strategic plan for positioning Arch at agency and insured levels.
