Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join the AI Governance and Risk Oversight team. The role focuses on leading governance, risk management and controls across AI and automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Information Security and business units to translate governance requirements into practical processes and ensure responsible deployment of AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years of risk management, governance, or controls experience.
• Understanding of Generative AI and AI lifecycle risks.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI governance framework development and updates.
• Assess and document AI-related risks.
• Oversee governance reviews for AI, Generative AI and automation.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk and IT.
• Develop risk indicators and monitoring frameworks.
• Produce executive risk dashboards and reports.
• Coordinate cross-functional governance workstreams.
