Job summary

State Street's Alpha division seeks an Assistant Vice President to lead modernization of technology, workflows and ways of working underpinning Alpha delivery. You will help create a connected, AI-powered operating model, working with business teams, Technology, Automation and strategic vendors to digitize processes and improve productivity.

You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, shaping platform strategy, governance, and adoption while driving measurable business value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in business, technology, engineering, information systems, finance or a related discipline.
• Experience in technology transformation, digital transformation, workflow automation and platform strategy.
• Experience working across business and technology to define requirements and implement solutions.
• Familiarity with enterprise collaboration, workflow or automation platforms (Microsoft 365/Power Platform, Jira/Confluence, ServiceNow, UiPath).
• Familiarity with AI concepts and applying emerging technologies to business processes.
• Experience with process mapping, business cases, technology assessments or vendor evaluations.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to operate in a global, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Assess and rationalize Alpha's technology ecosystem to simplify and integrate tools.
• Define and execute a platform-first technology strategy for reusable capabilities.
• Evaluate platforms against requirements including workflow, collaboration, automation and analytics.
• Develop build-versus-buy assessments considering value, cost and scalability.
• Partner with technology teams and vendors to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Drive end-to-end workflow digitization and change leadership across Alpha teams.
