Job summary

Atlas Search in New York hires an AVP for Accounting and Finance AI Enablement to ensure accuracy of financial outputs as automation and AI are adopted across Finance. The role emphasizes governance of automated results, strong control environments, and collaboration with audit and technology teams.

The ideal candidate has a public accounting background with 5–7 years in finance, strong communication, and knowledge of reconciliations, audit evidence, and financial controls.

Qualifications

• Public accounting background, ideally in audit.
• 5–7 years in finance or accounting roles or equivalent controls experience.
• Solid knowledge of financial accounting; hands-on in reconciliations and audit evidence preparation.
• Sound judgment to assess automated/AI-generated outputs.
• Bachelor's in accounting, finance or related area; CPA or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as second reviewer on automated results and AI-assisted calculations; escalate anomalies.
• Decide when automated outputs are ready for Finance production.
• Own reconciliations, run variance analysis, investigate root causes, report to Finance leadership.
• Run and document financial controls; keep audit-ready evidence; track remediation.
