Job summary

LPL Financial in Fort Mill, SC is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Controllership to lead G&A accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting. This role drives automation, AI, and analytics to modernize our controllership and deliver scalable, compliant processes.

You will partner with FP&A, Treasury, and Internal Audit, implement Oracle Fusion, strengthen internal controls, and mentor accounting teams to elevate performance and governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience in finance transformation, ERP implementations, and close modernization programs.
• Experience leading accounting close, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams and accounting processes.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information.
• Lead close, operating expenses, and reporting within a strong control environment.
• Advance a modern, technology-enabled controllership operating model leveraging automation and AI.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives including Oracle Fusion implementation across finance modules.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Procurement, Finance Systems, Technology, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for accounting professionals.
