Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington state seeks an experienced test engineer to lead avionics harness testing for the NewGlenn launch vehicle. You will develop qualification and production test campaigns, write procedures, and collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and integration teams to ensure safety and quality.

You will drive efficiency in testing, plan fixtures and data acquisition, and track schedules across programs.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 3+ years of component testing and data analysis.
  • Experience testing avionics connectors, cables, EMI/grounding hardware.
  • Experience authoring test plans, procedures, and reports per standards (MIL-STD/NASA DO-STD).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Clear communication at executive leadership and shop floor.
  • US citizen, permanent resident, or eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute qualification and production test campaigns for avionics harness components and subassemblies.
  • Author, maintain, and improve detailed test procedures, test plans, and test reports.
  • Perform readiness reviews, pre-test briefings, and post-test data reviews.
  • Identify, procure, and manage test fixtures and data acquisition systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Track and manage test campaign schedules across programs.
  • Maintain accurate test records and traceability in PM tools.
  • Serve as SME for harness component testing within Avionics.
