Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an Avionics Integration Engineer to support the New Glenn program on the Rocket Manufacturing and Integration Floor. You will be hands-on with design, fabrication, installation, and test of avionics systems across multiple stages of vehicle development.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years in aerospace integration/test, with experience in harness fabrication, ECAD/MCAD, and IPC/WHMA-620A.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical or related engineering field.
  • 2+ years of integration and test in aerospace or related industry.
  • Hands-on harness fabrication and installation experience.
  • ECAD/MCAD tools experience to support vehicle integration.
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620A standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Avionics technical point of contact across all work centers on the Rocket Manufacturing and Integration Floor.
  • Support selection of avionics components and hardware during vehicle integration and test.
  • Create and disposition Non-Conformances (NC) and discrepancy reports in internal systems.
  • Create/update redline drawings for 2D electrical harness drawings and 3D installation drawings; release redline drawings in Windchill.
  • Support DfX improvements to increase rate, productivity, and efficiency on the floor.
  • Assist design and integration/test teams with process development and improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance for Avionics Installations.
  • Support assembly, integration, test, and troubleshooting of cables, LRUs, and avionics hardware.
  • Report activity schedule and technical status.
