RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA or Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to head a multidisciplinary Systems and Software team for the FACE Product Line. You will guide requirements, design, development, integration, testing, verification, and certification of avionics software for military and commercial customers.

The role combines Agile leadership with certification processes, requiring a STEM degree and 10+ years of related experience (or 7 with advanced degree).

Qualifications

• STEM degree (or advanced degree) with 10+ years of relevant experience (or 7 with advanced degree).
• Demonstrated project engineering/lead experience with cost and schedule responsibility; strong EV background.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and sound engineering principles for avionics software development.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, earned value, and risk for engineering design activities.
• Implement design and development processes, military avionics certification, and product lifecycle development.
• Lead bid and proposal activities (FAR Part 12, FAR Part 15, TINA).
