Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle seeks an engineer to design rugged avionics enclosures for lunar missions. You will create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, work with electrical engineers on PCB and interconnects, and ensure mechanical interfaces meet harsh environment requirements.

The role requires a B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 2+ years in rugged enclosure design, plus experience with GD&T and FEA tools. U.S. citizenship or eligible status is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 2+ years designing ruggedized electronics enclosures.
• Experience with static structural, modal, random vibration, and thermal analysis.
• Strong 3D CAD design and integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to cross-disciplinary design in a fast-paced environment.
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical docs for avionics hardware.
• Collaborate with electrical team on PCB/interconnect systems including thermal analysis.
• Develop enclosure solutions for reliability in harsh environments.
