Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA seeks an Avionics NPI & Sustaining Engineering Manager to lead production-facing engineering for avionics bus hardware. You will oversee a team delivering new product introduction and sustaining engineering across multiple LRUs, driving transitions to stable production and rapid responses to issues.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, test, quality, and operations to improve hardware, test, and processes, while balancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical/computer engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years hardware development, test, sustaining, manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a management/leadership role.
• Experience across product lifecycle from development to production.
• Experience leading root-cause investigations and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team for new product introduction and sustaining engineering across avionics bus LRUs.
• Own production-facing engineering support model for released avionics hardware.
• Drive transitions of hardware from development into production.
• Provide rapid technical response to production hardware and test issues.
• Establish MRB ownership and support processes across avionics portfolio.
• Collaborate with design engineering to improve hardware through design, test, or process changes.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, test, quality, operations, and supply chain teams.
• Use production data to identify systemic improvement opportunities.
• Improve manufacturing test flows and production support processes.
• Balance immediate needs with long-term scalability.
