Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Aerospace Hardware Engineer to join the Kuiper program in Redmond, WA. You will own avionics hardware from architecture through production, driving design, verification, and ramp activities that enable high-reliability space systems.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with systems, firmware, manufacturing, and test teams, advancing engineering standards and delivering critical satellite hardware for global broadband access.

Qualifications

• Experience developing hardware across the full product lifecycle.
• Experience with PCB design, high-reliability systems, and ECAD tooling.
• Strong collaboration across systems, firmware, manufacturing, and test teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of satellite avionics subsystems from architecture to production ramp.
• Lead system and subsystem architecture translating mission requirements into hardware designs.
• Drive circuit design, analysis, and ECAD schematic capture to meet targets.
• Lead hardware design reviews and set design quality standards.
• Develop and execute bring-up, verification, and qualification test strategies.
• Lead debugging and root-cause resolution across development, qualification, and production.
• Establish requirements, traceability, and verification frameworks for hardware subsystems.
• Lead production readiness and ramp, including test strategy and yield improvements.
• Influence cross-functional teams to deliver program milestones.
• Act as a technical leader, raising engineering standards and mentoring others.
