Job summary

Vast is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for Environmental Test in Long Beach, CA. You will support design and build of avionics systems for space infrastructures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and reliable assembly of wire harnesses and avionics modules.

The role emphasizes hands-on integration, testing, and adherence to industry standards, with a focus on quality, cost, and schedule performance in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 3+ years experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or avionics.
• Experience with vibration test fixtures and thermal/vacuum fixtures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design teams to optimize manufacturability of avionics components and wire harnesses.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and onboard equipment for avionics systems.
• Create and maintain manufacturing plans, assembly procedures, and work instructions.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges via root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality avionics components.
