Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 program in Long Beach, CA. You will participate in development and test of avionics hardware for spacecraft programs, working with engineers across disciplines from requirements to production.

The role emphasizes hands‑on hardware development, mentorship, and growth in a fast‑paced environment. Minimum 12 weeks starting May/June 2027 is required, on‑site.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in an engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge to development and testing of avionics hardware for spacecraft programs.
  • Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver results.
  • Participate in all aspects of electrical hardware development from requirements through design, prototyping, fabrication, testing and production.
