Astranis Space Technologies Corp. seeks an Avionics Intern for Summer 2027 in California.

You will work with the avionics team to build and test flight hardware, design test equipment, bring up designs in the lab, and write code to evaluate performance and automate tests for satellite hardware. Applicants should be pursuing EE/CE at a four-year university, with hands-on hardware experience and programming skills in Python and/or C++.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• Interest in spacecraft systems and hands-on hardware development.
• Ability to design, build and test hardware in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

• Work with the avionics engineering team to build and test flight hardware.
• Design test equipment to validate designs under stressed conditions.
• Bring up and debug designs in the lab.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware.
• Assist with low-level software to interface with spacecraft subsystems.
