Job summary
Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Test Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support the Space Systems team as they develop software that tests hardware used in space. The internship sits in an embedded software group that works closely with production and engineering to debug and resolve design and manufacturing issues.
You will learn under a mentor, participate in regular 1:1s, attend tech talks, and network with other interns and staff while contributing to real automation projects in
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in a computer engineering, computer science, software engineering or electrical engineering discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship.
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering knowledge to solve real challenges in a fast-paced group
- Work closely with mentors and teammates to deliver results
- Attend frequent 1:1’s with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success
- Participate in tech talks and network with interns and employees
