Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to own the lifecycle of avionics software products from development through qualification and production. You will drive architecture, manage program roadmaps, and coordinate with QA, Safety and Mission Assurance, and Enterprise Technology to optimize costs and cycle times.

You will oversee team execution, foster continuous improvement, and ensure robust risk management across requirements, design, verification, and vehicle integration.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading teams delivering complex safety-critical embedded software.
• Experience in avionics/embedded software product development and maintenance.
• Strong communication across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope and ensure cost-effective execution to meet program objectives.
• Establish software architecture and manage roadmaps for each program's software product.
• Identify risks and opportunities; document, mitigate, and drive outcomes with leadership.
• Coordinate with QA, Safety and Mission Assurance, and Enterprise Technology.
• Track team execution and lifecycle costs; develop data-driven project metrics.
• Drive software process standardization and tool efficiency with other teams.
• Own lifecycle of avionics software products from development through qualification and production.
