Job summary

Blue Origin Engines seeks an experienced leader to guide a team delivering avionics software across New Glenn, Lunar, and Engines programs. You will own delivery, architecture, and risk management while balancing cost, schedule, and quality in a fast-paced space environment.

You will coach engineers, manage hires, and ensure compliance with HR processes, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team and across enterprise partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with avionics and embedded software.
• 5+ years in project management or leadership roles.
• BS in Engineering or a technical field.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team developing software for avionics controllers across multiple programs.
• Define and manage software architecture and program roadmaps.
• Identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks; report to leadership.
• Oversee HR lifecycle: hiring, development, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Safety and Mission Assurance, and Enterprise Technology.
• Ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective project execution.
