Job summary

Gulfstream is seeking an Avionics/Electrical Technician 2 in St. Louis to test aircraft systems, troubleshoot discrepancies, and repair fuel, wiring, and avionics components to meet safety and scheduling goals.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with four years in avionics/electrical fields or two years of aviation electronics schooling plus two years related experience; A&P, FCC, or NCATT licenses are preferred. Strong communication and ability to read schematics are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Four years' experience in avionics/electrical field or two years schooling in aviation electronics plus two years related experience.
  • A&P license preferred.
  • FCC license preferred.
  • NCATT preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
  • Installs and functionally tests electrical/avionics components per specs and maintenance manuals.
  • Ensures quality and efficiency of installations; troubleshoots to provide timely repairs.
  • Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring following proper techniques.
  • Performs engineering changes and modifications as required.
  • Sets up and operates test equipment; conducts functional and operational tests.
  • Ensures complete documentation of work for inspection.
