Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace seeks an Avionics/Electrical Technician 3 at our St. Louis (GAC) location. The role performs tests, troubleshooting and repairs on avionics/electronic systems to ensure aircraft readiness and safety.

Requires High School Diploma or GED, 5 years avionics/electrical experience, and 2 years accredited schooling may offset; A&P/FCC/NCATT preferred. Multiple shifts available with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years experience in an avionics/electrical career field.
• 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of experience requirement.
• A & P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs tests and repairs of avionics/electronic systems to ensure defect-free aircraft.
• Toubleshoots and repairs avionics components per engineering specs, drawings and manuals.
• Maintains quality and efficiency of installations; documents work.
• Sets up test equipment and conducts functional/operational tests for reliability.
• Maintains daily logs and paperwork for all work performed on aircraft.
• Coordinates with other disciplines on projects as needed.
• Installs and tests electrical/avionics components following safe practices.
• Adheres to FOD, tool control, 5-S and safety regulations.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required

5 years avionics/electrical experience

2 years accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years experience

A&P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred
