Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4 years avionics/electrical experience or 2 years accredited aviation electronics schooling plus 2 years related experience.
• A&P license preferred; FCC and NCATT preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
• Installs and functionally tests electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications and manuals.
• Ensures quality and efficiency; troubleshoots and repairs malfunctioning systems.
• Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring using proper techniques (splicing, soldering, pinning).
• Performs engineering changes and modifications as required; documents work for inspection.
• Operates test equipment and conducts functional/operational tests.
• Adheres to safety programs and daily schedule requirements.
• May participate in flight tests during certification phases.
