Job summary

Saab is seeking 3rd shift Structural Assemblers in West Lafayette, IN to build the aft fuselage for the U.S. Air Force trainer, the T-7A Red Hawk. You will assemble aircraft structures, train new teammates, and help define our state-of-the-art production system.

Starting hourly rate is $23-$25 with a $2 shift premium. Saab offers paid on-site training, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow within a leading defense company at our advanced facility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant assembly or hand tool experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft structure and install systems per procedures.
• Train new team members and share knowledge.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Perform functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Sign off completion per specifications.
