Job summary

Saab's advanced manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, IN is hiring 3rd shift Structural Assemblers to build the aft fuselage for the U.S. Air Force T-7A Red Hawk. You will assemble aircraft structures, train new team members, and contribute to a state‑of‑the‑art production system.

Starting pay is $23–$25 per hour, plus a $2 shift premium. Saab provides on‑site training, and opportunities for growth while working in a safety‑driven, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant assembly or hand tool experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft structures per standardized procedures to 100% quality.
• Work with team to install systems and complete fuselage assembly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale.
• Perform functional testing of assemblies and systems.
