Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a seasoned General Manager for a major station in the US. The role leads safety, security, quality, and training, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong governance while directing station operations and staff.

You will drive financial performance, manage budgets, and develop growth opportunities, with a focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery in a complex aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Experience in business development, sales, and commercial negotiation & pricing.
• Wide-ranging general management experience, with some years of senior management experience.
• Extensive management experience in airport ground handling or related environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for the safety and well-being of MA staff; promoting a Safety-First culture and managing all station aspects.
• Implement and adhere to MA Safety, Security, Quality, and Training policies and SOPs with regulatory requirements.
• Lead and collaborate with senior team to maintain safety, security, and operational systems and audits.
• Participate in development of station-level budgets.
• Ensure processes for inventory, assets, and vendor payments are in place.
• Be accountable for financial performance and governance compliance at the station.
• Interact with customers to promote the station and measure customer satisfaction.
• Pursue opportunities for new business and growth of services.
