Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician to perform basic sheet metal operations on airframe components, read blueprints, and work from drawings. You will handle fastening systems, procedures, and techniques with attention to quality and safety.

You will safely operate shop equipment, maintain tools, and communicate clearly in English. A high school diploma is required; A&P license is welcome but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A&P license welcome but not required.
• Driver's license valid for airline travel or passport ideal but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of sheet metal processes and fabrication.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
