Job summary

West Star Aviation in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking a Weekend Composite Technician to perform basic sheet metal operations on airframe components, including drilling, riveting, cutting and finishing. You will also apply sealant and maintain shop facilities and tooling, working under the supervision of a Team Leader.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Airframe and Powerplant license is welcome but not required. You must have a valid driver's license or passport as travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license welcome but not required.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and basic shop practices.
• Ability to read manuals and follow maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Operate shop equipment safely and follow FAA guidelines.
• Communicate effectively in English with team members.
