Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician III for on-site work in Addison, TX. You will perform basic sheet metal operations, read blueprints, and help supervise crews on aviation projects.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential to succeed in a fast-paced hangar environment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying hangar temperatures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license preferred.
• Prior sheet metal experience preferred.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
• Knowledge of turbine aircraft structures and fastening systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Navigate electronic training, manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
