Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician for its East Alton, IL facility. The role requires understanding turbine aircraft structures, reading blueprints, and working from drawings while coordinating with supervisors on manpower and project priorities.

Typical duties include drilling, riveting, sealing, and material finish work with basic computer usage for maintenance data bases. A high school diploma is required, and an A&P license is preferred; valid driver’s license or

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; A&P license preferred.
• Prior experience with sheet metal is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Other job-related duties assigned by supervisor.
