Job summary

West Star Aviation in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician to join our on-site maintenance team. The role focuses on sheet metal fabrication, blueprints, fastening systems and related procedures within a fast-paced MRO setting.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of sheet metal processes, the ability to read drawings, and basic computer skills. A high school diploma is required; A&P license is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license not required but welcome.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and processes.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as required.
• Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears and hand tools.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
