Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician for our Grand Junction, CO hangar. This full-time, on-site role offers hands-on work with turbine aircraft structures, reading blueprints, and fabrication tasks, plus opportunities to supervise crews and contribute to project priorities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, and an Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict FAA guidelines and a team-oriented

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; A&P license preferred.
• Experience with turbine aircraft structures and sheet metal is desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations: drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain and clean shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Navigate electronic training manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate clearly in English; follow FAA guidelines and safety rules.
• Assist in supervising crews and setting project priorities when needed.
