Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Addison, TX is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician. You will perform drilling, riveting and cutting on aircraft structures, apply sealants, and assist in keeping shop facilities and tools in top condition. Strong communication in English and teamwork are essential.

A High School diploma or equivalent is required; an Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred. Prior sheet metal experience is valued, and a valid driver’s license is useful for site tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license preferred.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures and blueprints.
• Ability to read drawings, fastenings, procedures and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Use basic computer skills to access electronic manuals and maintenance data bases.
• Communicate clearly in English with team members and supervisors.
